Dear SJS Families,
Thanksgiving Break is approaching and I am sure we are all taking time to reflect on a number things for which we are thankful. A great Catholic school and the term “thanksgiving” should be synonymous. After all, Eucharist, the source of our faith, stems from the Greek word for thanksgiving. Our faith should be something we celebrate and we certainly do at St. Joseph Catholic School. As always, I invite you to share in this celebration with us on Friday at 8:15 AM when we gather for our school Mass. It is a joy to celebrate the Mass with the church community and with our parents. The word church stems from the Latin term for congregation.
Being part of this communal celebration is an important example for these little ones- the ones we call students. Another version of the word student is disciple. As we know, this is a term that Christ used when referring to his followers. So why are we on this journey into the study of language? I want to be very clear that this is our mission and we invite you walk closely with us at this Catholic school to see the mission of Christ come alive here. We ask that you invite others during this time to find out why you choose St. Joseph Catholic School. Tours can be scheduled by calling the school office or sending an email to ccobb@sjsfalcons.org.
St. Joseph, pray for us.
