Why Choose A Catholic School?

As parents, you want the best for your children. It is because you wish them success in all of life’s challenges that Catholic schools are the right choice.

Catholic schools provide an education program based on religious beliefs and values, enabling your children to grow in their understanding of themselves, their relationship with God and their relationship with others. Your children acquire knowledge and develop the skills necessary for success in higher educational pursuits and a wide range of careers.

Catholic schools offer a community environment in which your children can discuss and live out the values upon which their education is based. They are encouraged to contribute to society and to assume leadership roles in shaping public attitudes and programs.

In Catholic schools, young people learn to question, to establish confidence in their own good choices in life and to experience the sense of accomplishment stemming from individual achievement and responsibility.

When you choose St. Joseph Catholic School, you can be assured that your child will receive a strong academic education in an environment structured to have a lasting value.

Why Choose SJS?

St. Joseph Catholic School is a safe, Christ-centered academic environment operating as part of the mission of St. Joseph Catholic School and is devoted to the education of the whole person, guiding the student to live a life of virtue while pursuing academic excellence.

St. Joseph offers faith formation and religious instruction, prayer and devotional activities, and participation in Christian worship on a weekly basis. While in such a faith-centered environment, St. Joseph Catholic School provides each child with a quality Catholic education that is age-appropriate and designed to prepare students to achieve their best at each level of their intellectual and social development.

St. Joseph faculty members are loving, passionate, licensed, and state certified. It is the role of each teacher to carry on the tradition of formation and education with the same care and leadership that St. Joseph himself provided for the Holy Family. It is our desire that each child feels safe and loved, while carrying on the legacy of being the standard of excellence in Catholic education for the last seventy years.

St. Joseph Catholic School actively incorporates contemporary as well as tried and true methods into the curriculum while equipping our students and faculty with the necessary interactive tools in order to provide a high standard of education necessary for the twenty first century. With technology integrated into each classroom, St. Joseph utilizes interactive whiteboards and iPads on a 1:1 ratio. St. Joseph also integrates STREAM in the curriculum by use of the technology lab, allowing students to experience integrated technology with 3d tours and use of robotics.

Schedule a Tour

St. Joseph Catholic School invites you to schedule a tour. Families may schedule a tour with the administration to view the academic community in progress, whether virtually or in person. St. Joseph desires to provide families with the ability to make a well-informed decision when it comes to the education of their children. St. Joseph schedules tours each Tuesday of the school year. St. Joseph will accommodate tours on different days of the week in order to accommodate prospective families when possible. Call (318) 865-3585, e-mail info@sjsfalcons.org

Shadow a Falcon

Sometimes the best way to evaluate making the right decision is by the smile on the face of a child after a great day of school. St. Joseph allows for children to spend the day with us, following the procedures and schedule of potential classmates. Students are required to be potty trained and come to school appropriately dressed for the learning environment. Parents will be required to submit contact information in case of an emergency.
