Dear St. Joseph Families,

Welcome to week 2 at St. Joseph Catholic School. As communicated to you over the weekend, the school is aware that this may be the hottest week of the entire year. SJS will take certain precautions regarding the weather. We’ve had our HVAC system serviced again last week. We have also advised teachers that this week, we will follow our policy for outdoor temperatures. When temps reach the mid-90s, we will have indoor recess. We will also be sure to hydrate throughout the school day. The school asks that all parents send the students to school with a refillable water bottle (no tumblers). Cooler temperatures are predicted in the near future, but we’ll work through the heat together this week.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT for grades 1st-8th is this Thursday. K-Village had their meetings prior to the start of school. This is an informational night that will begin in the gym. Parents will be dismissed.

-Elementary parents will have initial time to meet with enrichment teachers and then report to their child’s homeroom.

-Middle school parents will report directly to their child’s homeroom class. It is important not to skip a class, or you will find yourself missing a teacher.

-Parents should coordinate having multiple children in multiple grades amongst themselves prior to the night.

-The back-to-school night is an informational time. If you need to confer with your child’s teacher, please email the teacher.

-If children are brought, they require adult supervision at all times.

Germs are already out and about. Remember to wash your hands and stay home for at least 24 hours if running a fever or vomiting! Have a great week. St. Joseph, pray for us.
