Dear St. Joseph Families,
This is a week for big celebrations! We begin the faith-filled encounter of Hallowtide. Yes, that is a real thing. The Church, for hundreds of years has celebrated this mini-season where of All Saints on 11/1, All Souls on 11/2, and everything begins with Halloween (Holy Evening) on the 31st. At St. Joseph, this will be a time of celebration amongst our community. As a Catholic school, we enjoy celebrating this season with our own flair this year.
While All Saints falls on a weekend this year, we will still observe our K5 Parade of Saints at Mass on Wednesday, October 29th. While not a holy day of obligation this year, we find it fitting to continue the liturgical celebration with our kindergartners this week at Wednesday’s Mass.
Friday, we will have our K-Village Halloween Carnival. K-Village will gather in the gym for fun and games in connection to the season. We will wrap up the day with our Halloween Pep Rally in the gym at 2:15 PM. Our varsity cheer and middle schoolers have quite a production planned so join us for the fun!
November 1st is usually a holy day of obligation, but it falls on a Saturday this school year. Still, we will celebrate by hosting our 5th Annual Falcon Fest! This has quickly become one of the most anticipated evening of the fall season among our Catholic community.
There are still spots that adult volunteers. Such an event cannot be successful without the help of our parents. Whether you are active in our PTO, a room mom, or a member of dads club, we could use your help. See the Sign-Up Genius so you can get involved today! There are a few spots for our middle school students to sign up for as well. St. Joseph, pray for us.
