Dear St. Joseph Families,
As a product of the 80’s, I spent many Saturday mornings watching cartoons. A commercial for Captain OG Readmore would come on and would encourage kids to read. I spent my Saturdays from 10-12 reading The Mouse and the Motorcycle. I remember 4th grade, when we wouldn’t stop talking about video games; Mrs. Lawson made the entire class get a book off the shelf. Corey’s Sea Monster is a book that I didn’t think I’d love, but I certainly did. My point is that reading is something we should inspire our children to do. For 2 years in a row, we’ve chosen the Ignatius Book Fair, which offers books on adventure, humor, mystery, and faith. Please note the hours of operation and invest in this endeavor to get children excited about reading!
Dads, I wish to formally invite you to our first Dads Club meeting of the 26-27 school year. Dad or stepdad, we would like you to join us for food and fellowship as we discuss getting involved in the school. There are so many opportunities for you to plug in and get involved. REMEMBER! This Wednesday at 6 pm at Silver Star Grill on Youree Drive. We hope that you can make it. From helping out with Pancakes with Santa, the annual PTO Soiree, or our own Falcon Shoot Out, we’d love for you to be there. God bless and have a great week. St. Joseph, pray for us.
