Dear St. Joseph Families,
Success is regularly defined as the accomplishment or aim of a purpose. Five years ago, Falcon Fest was started as a way to support our school and bring together the entire community of St. Joseph, who had then achieved 70 years of Catholic education as part of the mission of our parish church. The event is certainly a massive success in both efforts and gets bigger every year. I want to make this week’s newsletter the focus of gratitude for all that goes into the event.
Such activities do not happen if people do not wish for them. It is communicated that we want this by the massive turnout we had Saturday. Members of our school, parish, and alumni come out to experience the gift of joy they have come to expect at Falcon Fest.
Falcon Fest is possible due to the families who support St. Joseph Catholic School. Thank you to those who agreed to sponsor the event in many ways. Whether as a Falcon Fest ride or both sponsor, or as one of of our Partners in Education, you contributed to making the event happen and brought much joy to the families of St. Joseph. May the Lord bless you in return for your charity.
Thank you to everyone who accepted the responsibility of organizing the event. A special thank you to Lauren Salvail and Julia Bryn for taking the event over this year. The Wooldridge family has made food service into an art form! And thank you to every parent, student, grandparent, faculty member, and alumni member who served in some capacity for the event. This community has a big, collective heart for our students and it showed Saturday night. Next year, we celebrate 75 years as a school. I pray that 2026 will be an even bigger celebration as it will be such a momentous occasion. We hope to see you at mass on Wednesday as Bishop Malone celebrates with us. St. Joseph, pray for us.
