Dear St. Joseph Families,

Welcome to the first day of school! This document is our weekly newsletter. It goes out the first day of every school week. Families are encouraged to read the document weekly. Today, we began the 73rd school year to 314 students! This total also represents 213 families. Again, we so very blessed to welcome everyone here!

Aside from our students, we welcome ten new members to our faculty and staff. Some faces you may already be familiar with as they were previously part of our school and church family. Others are brand new and would love to get to know you as well as gain your prayers and support.

I cannot stress how important it is for you to review the parent-student handbook. There are changes that impact different areas of the school. Please become familiar with the document and make sure that your children are familiar with specific policies as well. We learned this morning that not everyone has reviewed the updated flow of traffic for carpool. That is a big one.

I invite everyone- faculty and families- to extend a little grace to one another. Again, we have new faculty who are still adjusting to the St. Joseph way of doing things. We also have a number of families who are brand new to St. Joseph that will ask a number of questions. I certainly encourage this to happen. Just like riding a bike for the first time, there are a number of hitches, bumps, and accidents. After a short time, we will all be riding along on smooth path (hopefully).

You will find a number of new things about the school year in the following pages. Additionally, you will see some key dates noted on the right. Again, read the information carefully and mark your calendar for such activities. We are happy to welcome you into the Falcon Family. God bless, and remember: SJS ROCKS!
