SJS Families,

It is hard to believe that we are in the month of November. I appreciate this day very much because it is the anniversary of when I first started at St. Joseph Catholic School. What a time it has been! I am frequently asked by friends back home that if I knew what was going to transpire over the last two years, would I actually make this decision again.

If I am completely honest with myself, I would say: Absolutely.

St. Joseph is a faith-filled, family-oriented community where we come together every day to form and educate our students in the Catholic tradition in order for these young people to be successful in life, and one day reach heaven. I know that is a statement that sounds like it is on repeat but it is always important to consider why we do what we do. This is the full and complete goal of any Catholic school.

I feel as though so much has occurred over the last 2 years at SJS that it causes for some reflection. Let’s get past focusing on a global pandemic because we know all about it. Still, we have seen great things happen. We have grown to a student body of nearly 300 students and we continue to grow each month. We find ourselves with an increase in faculty over the last couple of years to meet such needs. We would not be in the position we are in without:

  • praying for the success of the school
  • support for our teachers
  • staying focused on the mission of our school
  • generous financial contributions

As we continue to pray and grow, let us be mindful of the sacrifices necessary to be where we are.

St. Joseph, pray for us.
