Dear St. Joseph Families,

There is no doubt that the events of the schools in Nashville have continued to be the focus in the hearts of many people. St. Joseph Catholic School is actively taking measures to increase the levels of safety on our campus. We have re-visited with security advisors to look for areas of opportunity for improvement. That being said, St. Joseph Catholic School will be hiring school resource officers who will be on campus during the school day and at special events. We will continue to review our campus security measures and assess the needs we have. Just as with COVID, risk will never be zero, but we make efforts for improvement and prevention. Thank you to our families that have reached out in support of such efforts.

This is Holy Week. This is a time that we follow in the steps of our Lord more closely than in the previous days of Lent. We are quickly approaching some important dates that focus on the celebration of our Lord’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection. I highly encourage you to attend these liturgies. There is no better way for us to fully understand the love our God for us and how we can share this love than spending time in prayer with the scriptures and celebrating the Sacraments as a Church. We all know that it is impossible to overcome evil in the world without the love of Christ. We will never know the love of Christ unless we provide ourselves and our children with the opportunity to encounter such love.

Let us pray for one another. Let us do good for the sake of one another and for the building up of the Kingdom of God here on Earth. and may His will be done on Earth, as it is in heaven. St. Joseph, pray for us.
