Dear St. Joseph Families,

We have now entered the season of Advent. Let us be mindful that the season is a time of preparation. Often, we seem to bypass Advent but it is a time to prepare ourselves for the celebration of the Christ child. This period of time should allow us to reflect on the four gifts of the season- hope, peace, joy, and love. Such gifts are only made known to us through Christ himself.

One way that we can prepare ourselves for the season is to attend special events of prayer and catechesis. One such event coming up this week (Tuesday and Wednesday evenings) is the parish mission at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The parish has invited a dynamic speaker to present for all of us. The mission is scheduled 6pm-9pm so I hope that you can make it.

We often hear about this being a time of giving. While there are many worthy recipients of charitable giving in our community (our families will be donating to the St. Vincent De Paul Society Christmas), I ask that you consider what is presented in the image to the right. Please take the opportunity to prayerfully consider giving to the St. Joseph Catholic School Annual Fund.

The purpose of our annual fund is to fill the financial gap that the cost of tuition does not cover. Many of our local businesses have chosen to support SJS this year by giving to our Partners in Education program. The Annual Fund is different in that our families are given the opportunity to provide a tax-deductible donation for the good of our school.

Every student and faculty member benefits from annual gifts provided to our annual fund. Please consider St. Joseph Catholic School as part of your charitable giving during this important time of the year. Thank you for your regular prayers and support and may God bless the families of our school. St. Joseph, pray for us. https://giving.ncsservices.org/inline/dedicated/?uid=ncs-1578&amt=NaN
