Dear St. Joseph Families,

Get involved! St. Joseph Catholic School is a family- a falcon family! It is common at Catholic schools to find ways to plug in where your gifts and talents may be utilized. Did you know that if you are interested that you can serve as a substitute teacher? Go to our website to fill out an application.

How about signing up as a room parent and helping plan fun activities for your child’s class throughout the school year? Other parents are willing and able to serve as drivers/chaperones for field trips. If you wish to volunteer in such a capacity, please let us know. Information for these activities will come when we get to Back to School Night.

One of the most exciting ways you can get involved at SJS is through our school’s PTO. We have amazing leadership who coordinate fundraising activities, teacher support, fundraisers, and lots of community fun. Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 13th, in the school library. Dads, if PTO or room parenting just is not your thing, how about a time where dads meet on a monthly basis to gather for fellowship and service planning. One of the fastest growing activities is the Falcon Shootout that takes place in the spring.

As you can see on the top right of the page, our school fair, FALCON FEST, is right around the corner. It is an event for anyone who wishes to attend. There is food, music, fellowship, and fun for the entire family! None of these activities, fundraisers, and community builders happen unless we are involved. Everyone is encouraged to prayerfully discern how to get involved for the 24-25 school year. For some of us, this is our child’s 8th grade year and could be the last time we have such an opportunity. It truly is a great time to be a Falcon and we hope it is great for all of us! St. Joseph, pray for us.
