Dear St. Joseph Families,

Let me take a moment and speak to the moms of our community. One of my favorite descriptions of mothers is: “A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.” by Tenneva Jordan.

For all of your hard work, sacrifices, worries, volunteering, and every time you put the needs of others before your own, I strongly encourage you to attend an upcoming women’s conference taking place right here on the St. Joseph campus that will nourish your heart and soul.

On March 4th and 5th, St. Joseph Catholic Church is hosting Devoted. With a passionate and very wise speaker, Dr. Mary Healy of Franciscan University providing keynote addresses, you will learn a lot about faith from a feminine perspective from this amazing speaker and author. Music and Worship will be led by Angela McCann, with 20+ years of conference and retreat ministry in the Catholic Church (she did an amazing job in selecting a Godfather for her first-born as well).

The cost of the event is $45 and will cover the cost of the event meals. I say this as a husband and father: you ought to attend this event. Last year, I said similar words to the dads of this community. We cannot expect to be great leaders of our children and co-leaders with our spouses if we neglect our own spiritual needs.
