Dear St. Joseph Families,

Happy Tuesday, Falcons! 9.5 inches of snow in Lafayette and here we are, enjoying the sunshine and clear skies. We missed enough due to snow days the last few years. Let South Louisiana have their turn! Our PTO has sponsored a number of activities lately. On behalf of the PTO and SJS, I extend a heartfelt “thank you” for all who participated. Whether your participation was Spirit Night at Raising Cane’s, the Falcon Freezeout with the Shreveport Mudbugs, or at Another Broken Egg for breakfast this past Saturday.

Aside from finding ways to sponsor our school, something that is important to note is the joy that comes from our community spending time with one another. While education and faith formation are paramount, it is no accident that we come together as a community to enjoy the life we share. We are part of the Church that is united as one with Christ. While the Church is to worship, form, and educate, we are called to bring each other closer to Him. By experiencing joy and fellowship, maybe we are doing so in this simple way.

Catholic Schools Week is right around the corner. That means our open house is coming up. If you have family members, friends, coworkers, or neighbors who are discerning where to send their child to school for the 2025-2026 school year, please invite them to our open house, which will be held on Wednesday, January 29th, 5:30 PM- 7:30 PM. And there is no better way to end Catholic Schools week than our annual silent auction and soiree! Get your tickets soon! St. Joseph, pray for us!
