Dear St. Joseph Catholic School Families,

Be very proud of the students of our wonderful school. Our young people time and time again, prove themselves to be virtuous and graceful. During Catholic Schools Week, we held a fundraiser for Mary’s House, an local pregnancy center who helps mothers in need of assistance. Our donations would serve to purchase care packages for the mothers.

SJS students collected $2,287.83. We are told that the amount raise would serve to fund around 300 care packages for new mothers who need supplies for their babies. Support of life of both babies and mothers are causes that reflect our values as a Catholic institution. I ask that we continue to pray for the organization, Mary’s House, as well as those who will benefit from their ministry.

We should be very proud of our students for the display of their giftedness at our talent show. This was the first time that we have had such a performance here in the last three school years. We saw talents that included students from grades 3-8 who sang, danced, and entertained the entire student body.

No doubt, the students of St. Joseph Catholic school have learned the importance of investing. Investing in yourself is important to achieve great things. Do so with hard work and prayer. Invest in others for no benefit other than the ability to make a difference in their lives. This is truly the work of our patron saint. Like St. Joseph, may they invest in their relationship with Christ to become saints themselves.
