Dear SJS Families,
With lots happening between now and the end of the school year, I wanted to inform you that the deadline to apply for financial aid is Monday, April 18th. This will allow families to have final plans made with tax return information. Remember that you cannot receive financial aid unless you are actually registered for the 22-23 school year. You may do so by going to your FACTS account.
Next week, we begin ACT Aspire Testing. This applies for students in grades third-eighth. Students will need to have a good night’s sleep and get to school on time. Yes, students may have other activities but there will not be any other major tests this week. Students need to do their best on these exams.
Finally, we are continuing our fundraiser for building a house in Haiti. We are switching gears and utilizing Catholic Cross Outreach and will be able to buy to sturdy homes in Haiti, where earthquakes and hurricanes do a lot of damage. Note that we will have some out-of-uniform days coming up to raise money to meet our goal. While there is a minimum donation requested, we encourage families to be generous as this is a form of almsgiving for the season of Lent. Remember, if every child were to donate $15, we would meet our goal. We will have the fundraiser days on:
Tuesday, 3/29, Monday, 4/4, and Monday, 4/11
