Dear SJS Families,
This is a VERY full edition of the Falcon News. Please pay close attention to our 2nd and 3rd pages as lots of important information is listed in regards to Mass, club pictures, spirit shirt days, Advent gift collections, next week activi-ties, and dismissals.
It is hard to believe we are very close to finish-ing the first semester of the 20-21 school year. For some, the year has gone by quickly. Still it is the Advent season and it is a time of great expectation and waiting for the coming cele-bration of the birth of our Savior. Please know that your patience throughout the school year in the midst of mitigation, quarantine, and changes to the norm have not gone unnoticed.
No doubt, this has been a difficult year for many in our local community. I pray that even in the midst of the difficulties we have encoun-tered personally, we may, with sincere hearts, set an example of Christian charity and make a difference in the lives of others this Christmas.
This week, you will receive information regard-ing assistance to families through St. Vincent DePaul as well helping mothers of newborns through Mary’s House. Too often it seems like we look at what we must give up rather than considering how our sacrifices help others. Let us direct our efforts to assisting these families who are in great need, allowing them to expe-rience the gifts of hope enjoy during this holy season.
