Dear SJS Families,

I enjoyed the first semester of this year much more than the one we had last year. Don’t get me wrong, SJS is a blessed place to be, no matter the situation. It has been a greater blessing to see the faces of our students and families at school and at different events. Thank you for celebrating with us. Please be mindful that we will always approach these matters with the best interest of our students.

We invite all family members to come to our Christmas Programs on Wednesday, December 15th (see the following pages for times and locations). This means that other individuals besides mom and dad may attend. We extend the invitation to: Maw Maw and Mee Mee, Godparents, younger MDO siblings, aunts and uncles in town from college, etc. Other SJS classes will not be in attendance in order to provide room for guests.

If you were in attendance at Mass last week, it was announced that for the second year in a row, St. Joseph Catholic School was voted best private school in the Shreveport-Bossier area in SB Magazine. I thank you for this recognition. It is only with your support that such amazing things continue to happen here. Please continue to encourage your child to give their best everyday in the new semester. In the meantime, I wish you all a joy-filled remainder of Advent and if we do not cross paths, we wish you a Merry Christmas.

St. Joseph, pray for us.
