Dear St. Joseph Families,
We are 3 weeks into September. How are we doing with practicing virtues? Courtesy is a virtue we should try to practice every day, whether it is the virtue of the month or not. Let’s take a moment to do a quick inventory:
- Have we held the door for anyone?
- Have we allowed someone to go before us into a building?
- Have we asked the teacher if there’s something we can do for them?
- Have we set or cleared the supper table for our parents?
- Have we chosen to use kind words instead of being mean?
- Have we kept our hands to ourselves?
- Have we said, “hello” or “good morning” to someone as we passed them?
St. Joseph is a wonderful home to so many students, past and present. We want others to always feel a sense of politeness and kindness on this campus. This can only happen when we choose saintly behavior over worldly behavior. Let’s keep that in mind as we cheer on our Lady Falcons tonight! There is never anything wrong with excitement and energy, but we always want the right kind. As a Catholic school, we are always witnesses- no matter how the chips fall. Thank you to our parents and faculty who already set such an amazing example.
