Dear St. Joseph Families,
I ask that before we delve into the happenings at St. Joseph Catholic School, we pause for a moment to pray for the innocent lives lost recently in our hometown of Shreveport. Let us pray:
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
This week marks several changes at our school. First, our middle school students will be participating in Student Council Week. Several students are campaigning for office on our 26-27 student council. Let us pray that those called to these offices will provide student leadership that continues to embrace the mission of our school and serves in a manner that benefits the school. Good luck, students!
On Tuesday at 5:30 PM in the school cafeteria, our PTO will hold elections for its executive board members. We are excited to see so many parents who are answering the call to serve in this capacity. It is an honorable service to help meet the needs of our school members. We hope you can make it out for the election.
We are very excited to welcome back the SJS class of 2022. They will join us for mass on Wednesday, and we will hold a special celebration in their honor as they prepare for college! Have a blessed week. St. Joseph, pray for us.
