Dear St. Joseph Families,

One of the most important ways to bring about improvement is effective communication. We encourage students to do so when things may not always go smoothly. When students brings matters to a teacher, the teacher is able to address the matter effectively to ensure a resolution is found. Please advise your child to communicate with his or her teacher.

Teachers, staff members, and administration are not perfect- but we will strive for excellence. Often times, when a new year starts, something may not be communicated well between home and school. This is when I ask that you initiate communication with us. Folks may be getting used to FACTS, they might forget to include a handout in the Wednesday folder, or they may send your child to the wrong after school location.

First, I apologize for when such matters occur. Second, let us all strive to extend some grace- especially to our new members (students, parents, and teachers). Please communicate when something seems off. Nothing will ever be solved in a group chat. Trust me, I’ve used them myself. Communication with the teacher will go a long way so that we can be more effective and strive for excellence.

Let’s make it another great week at SJS. St. Joseph, pray for us.
