Dear St. Joseph Families,

Happy Veterans Day to our Service Women and Men who labor or have labored to ensure that everyone in our nation can have the same freedom endowed to us by our creator and guaranteed to us in the U.S. Constitution. We are grateful for your service. We have a number of families at our school that have a parent that has served our country in such a manner. We hope that those parents can make it to our Veterans Brunch on Wednesday after our school mass dedicated to our veterans. Again, thank you for all that you have done for us. Your valor is as much of a witness as it is uncommon.

St. Joseph has a strong tie to our military community. It was because of veterans settling down to start families after World War II that led to the founding of both St. Joseph Catholic Church and School. Many of the streets in our area are named after other brave men and women who served our country. I also believe this is the reason why someone chose to name our school mascot-in Louisiana- after the Falcons. Let us pray today for those who serve our country courageously, allowing for their witness of virtue to influence our current generation of students to become the next generation of heroes in America and in the Church.

Come out tonight and support our Lady Falcons basketball teams! This is their final home game and we want to have a large crowd here to cheer them on! Our coaches and our players have put in a lot of time this year and both teams hope to make a run in the post-season. Tonight is no easy matchup as they take on St. Mark’s. Join us at 5:30 for the JV Lady Falcons game and stick around for the Varsity Lady Falcons at 6:30. We will have our cheer squad leading us in spirit. DON’T FORGET ABOUT ANNUAL FUND! St. Joseph, pray for us.
