Dear St. Joseph Families,

Happy New Year! I am sure everyone had a most enjoyable Christmas break with their families. It is now time to get ready for the second half of the year. Often times, when returning from the break, students get into a so-called “funk.” They may have done very well the first semester and feel they can let off the gas a bit. Others may have struggled and see the first semester as a wake-up call. Either way, the call to pursue excellence remains.

Getting back into the routine of things can always be a challenge, but it it is necessary for the sake of student success. Early bed times, good meals, family prayer, and getting to school on time are all essential in pursuing academic excellence. Maybe if we have not made this part of the new year’s resolution, it would be time to make a few considerations.

Other notes: Report cards will go home on Wednesday. Please take time to review the report card with your child. Some follow-up meetings for students in need may be scheduled soon. If your child does not receive his or her report card, please contact the school office. We have moved the academic awards ceremony to THURSDAY, JANUARY 11TH. We want to hold the ceremonies in the church, but the church is not available for use on Friday afternoons. We invite you to come and celebrate the achievements of our students. St. Joseph, pray for us. St. Joseph, pray for us.
