Dear St. Joseph Families,
School spirit come out in many different ways. Some of us make every basketball game possible (Go Lady Falcons!). Some are here making themselves available to substitute teach. Many parents make sure to have their children here on time for special events that happen on the weekends. So many make time for fundraising and community activities. It is truly amazing that the mindset of St. Joseph Catholic School Spirit focuses on supporting our students and coming together as a community. There are some families that never miss a pep rally, field trip, or anything such as that. At the heart of any Catholic school is the calling to live out the Christian faith daily by practicing virtue. If you look at page 2 of your weekly Falcon News, you will see a copy of the virtue for the month and that is accompanied by a saint. This is provided, hoping that parents will review the virtues, the prayer, and the life of the saint so that your child, a student at St. Joseph Catholic School, will be more aware of the call to virtue and will, hopefully, respond to this calling. It is one of the many ways in which home and school can partner for the good of the students. This month, we focus on a young man who was called to sainthood at a very young age. Such is the call for our students. Maybe not the same manner, but the call to sainthood is there so let us support this calling in the lives of our children and students. St. Joseph, pray for us.
