Dear St. Joseph Families,
Thank you. Those are simple words and they do not fully express the joy and gratitude held in my heart for this past weekend’s success of our 3rd Annual Falcon Fest. It is an event serving as a fundraisers for our school that brings together many members of our community at St. Joseph Catholic School, St. Joseph Catholic Church, other parishes in western part of our diocese, as well as many in the local Shreveport-Bossier area.
Thank you to those who worked all year for the success of the event. I do not know if the entire school community knows how much work goes into the event from the moment a date is set until the final yard sign is picked up. Thank you to Cat Foret, Kirsten Shrewsberry, and the entire Falcon Fest Committee for your efforts.
Thank you to everyone who chose to sponsor the event. We had many local businesses and even individuals who chose to sponsor the event. Without this foundation, the festival does not happen. Thank you for investing in the lives of our students.
Finally, thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the evening. The time of fellowship is truly a special day. Seeing the kids having their faces painted, enjoying quesadillas, competing in the cakewalk, selling popcorn, and getting tummy aches from the carnival rides was so much fun. It is a blessing to see the joy on their faces and the faces of their parents. We will see you next year’s Falcon Fest! St. Joseph, pray for us.
