Dear St. Joseph Families,
THANK YOU! I know that can get thrown around easily and often. Still, our community came out and supported our school in so many ways this past week, that you deserve to know our appreciation. FIRST, thank you for supporting our school in Give for Good. We raised well over $16,000 for our school. Such funds will be utilized to assist in bettering our campus and the education experience of our students.
Secondly, we wish to say thank you to our PTO! All of the teachers will agree that you made Teacher Appreciation Week a special experience for us. No one does the job for the praise. It is always done for the students. Still, it is always great to know that one’s work is appreciated. You certainly did that for the teachers!
Lastly, our inaugural Falcon Shoot-Out at the Shreveport Gun Club was a great Saturday morning for all who participated. Here is another activity that, while it benefits the school, serves as a community builder for our family of families. We hope that this becomes a tradition at St. Joseph and that many more are able to participate in the future. Thank you, Andrew Pringle, for launching this event! Thank you to all who participated in and sponsored us as well.
We cannot forget to congratulate our 8th Graders who received the Sacrament of Confirmation this past Saturday from Bishop Malone. The students who were confirmed are now fully initiated into the Catholic Faith- just one more major milestone left for this amazing school year for them. They will have their last pep rally on Friday, May 19th, followed by their commencement ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, May 25th. St. Joseph, pray for us.
