This is May! Every month feels like an achievement of sorts. It has been through the efforts of this faith-based community and an outpouring of graces from God that we have made it this far! We have reached a time known as Teacher Appreciation Week. While educators are not in the hospitals dealing with sick patients everyday, They are frontline workers who are making a difference everyday in the lives of your children and in our society. We are blessed to ensure that in-person learning and instruction takes place everyday St. Joseph Catholic School. It is done very well here and it is because the teachers are committed to serving this community with their whole minds and hearts.

We can all readily admit that this year has had it’s share of challenges. Without using terms such as “uncertain” and unprecedented,” it is a time that we hope will pass and a time we wish to not see again. Still, the teachers started this school year not knowing how easy or difficult the school year would be. Without the commitment of the teacher to wake up and tie on a mask, take temperatures, disinfect all surfaces regularly, regulate social distancing, await test results, adapt to in-person and virtual learning (often times simultaneously), society may have re-mained in lockdown.

Please show your appreciation for the hard work and dedication that your child’s teacher has shown this year, Thank you for supporting the efforts of the teachers as well. Let us pray for our teachers to continue their efforts of inspiration and education.
