Dear St. Joseph Families,
Communication is a critical matter. We want to know what is going on with our kids at all times. If you’re like me, you’re checking out that little purple app to make sure you know where they are. Additionally, the school has a number of channels to communicate regarding your child’s needs. While email is the easiest way to communicate with a teacher, we also utilize a number of ways to communicate with you. For instance, all tests and homework can be found on FACTS- even if your child forgets. If you have a question and need a response from a teacher, or if a teacher wants to communicate quickly to an entire class, know that you can communicate through Bloomz. If you have not downloaded the app, please do so soon! We also have a wonderful website, www.sjsfalcons.org. We communicate information on a private Facebook page for another layer. We want you to have all of the information you need and be able to use it effectively.
With all the forms of communication at our disposal, we normally rely on mobile devices. In order to communicate with our children, as stated above, we provide them with mobile devices, at the appropriate age, of course. To this point, not every child understands effective communication. I strongly encourage every parent to communicate proper expectations for effective communication. One is to make sure they are aware of your expectations for communication with others. It is also recommended that they are using the device as intended. Do you have access to your child’s account? If not, you should. Do you know what conversations are occurring. It never hurts to take a look. Are you aware of what sites or apps your child is accessing? Check them out- for their safety and for your peace of mind. Let’s work together as a community for their good. St. Joseph, pray for us.
