Annual Fund

Annual Fund

Throughout our 70+ year history, St. Joseph Catholic School has continued to thrive because of the extraordinary philanthropy and deep-rooted commitment of our community.

What is Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is St. Joseph’s yearly fundraising campaign supported by parents, alumni, parishioners, friends, and members of our faculty and staff. It is the most critical component of our fundraising efforts and allows St. Joseph to achieve a level of excellence in our curriculum, programs, and facilities that would not be possible without your support.

Your support of the Annual Fund ensures St. Joseph can remain at the forefront of Academic Excellence Surrounded by Faith. It empowers our school to invest in leading-edge classroom resources and technology, nurture our faculty through professional development, maintain smaller class sizes, provide annual facility enhancements, and strengthen the security and infrastructure that keeps our children safe and engaged.

Kyle and Rebecca Saye

When Kyle and Rebecca Saye’s oldest daughter, Maura, walked up the steps at St. Joseph for the first time in September of 2017, they had no idea those tiny footsteps were the beginning of what would become a core relationship for their family. As the years passed and their family grew, so did their love for the school. Maura (3rd grade), Nolan (1st), Gianna (K4), and Hudson (K3) all hold hands as they walk the path from their minivan to their respective classes each morning. And next year, baby Henry will be joining them. The Saye’s oldest son, Seth, was baptized in 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and attends Community School at Holy Angels. The Sayes see St. Joseph as more than a campus in the heart of Broadmoor. To them, it is a loving community that extends well past the building walls and parking lots.

“We are blessed to have the support of St. Joseph. From the outstanding academics to the religious teaching, I could not imagine our kids attending anywhere else. St. Joseph has been a pivotal part of our family’s growth and will certainly remain that way for years to come.”

Frequently Asked Questions

St. Joseph strives to keep tuition as affordable as possible for our families. As a result, we rely on a combination of tuition, Annual Fund gifts, and other revenue streams such as Falcon Fest to cover the cost of all of the opportunities our students receive. Gifts to the Annual Fund are necessary because they allow us to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a St. Joseph education without having to raise tuition substantially. The Annual Fund bridges a more than 10% gap between what a family pays for tuition and the actual cost of each student’s St. Joseph education.
Increasing tuition to cover all costs might keep some families from being able to attend our school, and we want our education to remain reasonably accessible. Higher tuition may lead to limited enrollment possibly requiring us to cut back on the things that make St. Joseph special such as talented teachers, appropriate class sizes, and up-to-date technology. Plus, while tuition payments are not tax deductible, donations to the Annual Fund are 100% tax deductible.
St. Joseph Catholic School strives for 100% family participation in the Annual Fund. The universal commitment of our families, alumni, faculty, and staff is a strong statement about the strength of our community, and with strength in numbers, these gifts add up. Every gift makes a difference, no matter the amount. The cumulative effect of consistently high participation among our St. Joseph family advances us even further and speaks to our shared commitment.
