Dear St. Joseph Families, We are fast approaching the mid-point of the first 9 weeks of school. This means progress reports are just around the corner. I would like to offer some perspective when reviewing this later this week. First, remember that the students are just now back in the swing of things and they are learning a lot about their teachers and their teachers are learning a lot about them. Adjustments in study habits may need to change. Simple communication with a teacher is to the child’s benefit. Students may not always have the courage to admit they are not doing as well as they did the year before. Sometimes, it may take a parent to ask how to help the child study better. Teachers may have given some pointers to the child, but when it comes to studying and homework, parents are normally present. Any way in which we can partner with you for your child’s success, it is important to communicate the concern.

This Friday is a very important day for the school. Bishop Malone will celebrate the school Mass this week. We also invite our alumni to attend this Mass at it is 1 day shy of our 71st anniversary as a school. We invite you to be part of this liturgy. Additionally, we you to our first pep rally of the school year. Whether you have a child playing Jets Football, Lady Falcons Basketball, Lady Falcons Volleyball, or that you come out to support our cheer squads, we would love to have you as our guests.

Finally, I want to remind you to get your tickets ordered online for Falcon Fest. Tickets will be sold at the event. T-shirts, however, will only be sold online. Online ordering for t-shirts ends this Friday as well. Games, rides, food, music, and great fellowship! We know you had a great time last year and we look forwad to this year being amazing. May everyone have a great week. St. Joseph, pray for us!
