SJS Parents,

In my two school years here, I am blessed to work with so many amazingly talented and caring women. Two of these individuals are Mrs. Pam Hostetler and Ms. Peggy Gremillion.

While Wednesday is National Administrative Professionals Day (Secretary’s Day), please take a moment this week to reach out to them and share a kind word by phone, in-person, or by email.

While I can tell you how hard they work to keep the office organized and keep the principal and assistant principal in line, it is better to focus on the things that can be seen at any moment of the day. They are the ones that take care of the student boo-boo’s and help them get an ice pack or call mom. They are the ones that help a teacher out when moments of the day are stressful. They are the ones who walk kids to class when they are late, get lunch to them, give them crackers when they are hungry, or help them pick out a clean uniform when they fall in the mud.

The things that make them special to SJS have zero to do with their job description. What makes them special is the love they share with each and every person whom they encounter at the desk, in the lobby, or on the phone. That is why I ask that you take the time to offer them a kind word. That and because we cannot offer them and extra million dollars in return for all that they do. Mrs. Pam and Ms. Peggy have answered the call to make Christ known at St. Joseph Catholic School.
