Dear St. Joseph Families,
It has been a busy start to the school year for everyone! We are excited to begin the basketball season with our Lady Falcons! We will have our first game this Thursday at Southfield. See the schedule for the season on following pages. We pray that they do well in representing our school on the court with true talent and sportsmanship. We also hope that our cheerleaders keep the party going at every home game. We all appreciate the hard work that they put in to support our athletic teams.
This past week, we launched a new initiative called SJS Partners in Education. For one, we hope that this streamlines the work in communicating with our faithful sponsors as well as new ones. We also hope that we are able to effectively fundraise for our school to meet the educational needs for our students that tuition does not cover.
If you also recall, we discussed that we are launching our Annual Fund in the month of September. We are hoping for 100% participation from our school families. It is understood that not everyone is capable of giving a large amount. Therefore, please note that it is not always about how much we give. Rather, it is important that we give. Please be on the lookout for items being mailed and emailed to families.
If you recall, the motto of St. Joseph Catholic School is “Academic Excellence Surrounded by Faith.” We invite our families to come and pray before our Lord, present in the most Blessed Sacrament. We will have prayer time in the church each first Friday. We hope that you are able to join us.
