Dear St. Joseph Families,

The celebration of a milestone is no small thing. We celebrate moments in life that are special to us. On Tuesday, September 17th, our school turns 73! When our parish was founded in 1949, it was every part of the vision of Bishop Charles Greco and Fr. Joseph Gremillion to establish a parish school when breaking ground. As our church celebrates it’s Diamond Anniversary this November, it is a blessing to know that the school has been part of the rich history of this parish.

Part of the history of the school is having a community that surrounds the campus with prayer and support. It is evident that the virtue our school promotes is desired and practiced among the families as well. At the heart of every Catholic school is the practice of the faith in worship. With this in mind, please note: OUR ANNIVERSARY MASS WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH AT 8:15 AM. Whether you are a current parent, grandparent, or alumni, we’d love for you to attend this week! Coming together in prayer and worship is a statement as what is the true priority of our school- leading our students to heaven.

Support for the school can be done a number of ways. For instance, have you gotten your tickets for the most fun event of the fall season- FALCON FEST! Scan the QR Code on page 3 to get your wristbands and t-shirts ordered. We’d also like to remind you that this NOT just for school families. All members of the community are welcome to be part of this family friendly event. I also invite you that your business may choose to support our school’s mission by becoming one of the SJS Partners in Education. Your support helps to bridge a gap to cover costs not covered by tuition. Thank you, everyone for your prayer and support, making it a great time to be a Falcon! Have a great week! St. Joseph, pray for us.
