Dear St. Joseph Families,

Today was an important day at St. Joseph Catholic School as our students had the opportunity to pray in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and pray the Rosary. Our students were prayerful, attentive, and well-behaved. Prayer is one of the most essential elements of life in a Catholic school. Plain and simple, we are called to teach our children to live in a deep, loving, and personal relationship with Christ.

The school exists to partner with efforts of the parents. If this was the first time, your child prayed the rosary, partner with these efforts and do so at home. Join us for our annual rosary on Friday after the school Mass. We welcome each and every parent to join us for this. Additionally, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is when we enter the church to do just that. It is prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ, present to us in the Eucharist. Parents are always welcome to utilize the Adoration chapel, pray before Mass, or attend every single Mass of the school year.

I know that it seems that there have been many requests or reminders for such. I cannot think of anything that you do for your child other than be with them in prayer and worship. Many times, we take off to leave town for a ballgame and now the woods. We even take off to go with our kids to the Jubilee Zoo to hang out with dirty goats. Take the opportunity to pray with your children and support our school in the most important way. I hope to see you this Friday!. And don’t forget about our other activities this week! St. Joseph, pray for us.
