Dear St. Joseph Families,

As many are aware, our Holy Father, Pope Francis passed away on Easter Monday. As he served the Church as Holy Father for the past 12 years, let us be mindful of the loss this creates for the Universal Church and for many Christians throughout the world. This is the only pope most of our students have known, whose face appears in the lobby of every Catholic school.

As communicated, SJS will pray daily for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis. Prior to Mass on Wednesday, a rosary will be prayed, and the school Mass will be offered for him in addition to other intentions.

Remember that we have Terra Nova Testing this week for grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th! Students should eat a good breakfast and must be brought to school on time. We want all students to do their best so please be sure to have them to bed on time as well. Next week, our middle school will be taking their Terra Nova test so please make every effort to start these good habits this week in preparation for next week.

Give for Good is starting. Please prayerfully discern about supporting your family’s Catholic school! Saint Joseph, pray for us.
