Dear St. Joseph Families,

Happy Easter to everyone! Remember that this is a season that lasts 50 full days. Celebrating this feast is to celebrate the most significant moment in the the history of the world- Christ, who was crucified for our sins, rose from the dead so that we might share eternal life in heaven with our Heavenly Father. Let us keep this in mind as we journey through these next 7 weeks. During this time, we will celebrate this new life with our students in 2nd and 8th grade, who will receive the sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation, respectively. Let us pray for them in their final weeks of formation.

April is an important month for another reason at St. Joseph Catholic School. This is also the month in which we prepare for standardized testing. Students at St. Joseph will take the Terra Nova test during the week of April 22-27. More than other weeks, it is imperative that students get a good night’s rest, eat a good breakfast, and arrive at school on time. MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS will need to have their ipads charged and ready to go each morning at school.

I wish to take a moment to say thank you to our 8th grade class for their inspiring performance of the living stations of the cross. You brought to life the passion of our Lord just in time to celebrate the Triduum. I also wish to say thank you to all of our families who provided food for those in need during the season of Lent. We had quite the collection. St. Joseph, pray for us.
