Dear SJS Families,
Can you believe that we are in the final stretch of the school year? May 24th will be here before you know it! This is an exciting time for our church and school as around 10 members of our school family came into the Church at Easter. We also have many of our students making First Communion this upcoming weekend and in a few weeks, our 8th graders will make their Confirmation. While there are many exciting happenings coming up with graduations, field days, and all kinds of receptions, it is important that we keep our students focused on what is important- being the virtuous students they are called to be. Often times, the last month of school is a time that student attention to academics seems to be a little slacked. It is important to make a strong push towards the end of the year- especially if the student is on the cusp. It is this time of year where kids are getting excited for summer break and behavior sometimes goes south. Our students are always called to be respectful to one another and their teachers. At the bottom of the page, we say that it’s a great time to be falcon. I pray that our students make every effort to live up to what that means. The virtue for May is foresight. Let us pray that our students will indeed practice this virtue, knowing the importance of good character and behavior. , pray for us.
