Dear St. Joseph Families,
Parent involvement is an important part of a thriving school community. It is without a doubt that our SJS PTO invests a lot of time and energy to make the school a great place. Our leadership has overseen fundraisers for the benefit of our playground with many exciting additions to come. Thank you to our PTO for putting together a very fun movie night on Friday evening. While 8th grade came back very tired from a long field trip to south Louisiana, the younger grades were just getting started with a fun family evening in our gym! Again, thank you for hosting such an event.
It is safe to say that our Dads Club is revived and is making an impact! We have had about 3 meetings that have been well attended. As usual, our dads help out with Pancakes with Santa by preparing all the food. Over the last two years, the Dads Club has hosted a Falcon Shootout at the Shreveport Gun Club. I cannot say thank you enough to gentlemen such as Andrew Pringle and Marty Wooldridge for organizing the Dads Club and this successful event. It was well-attended and raised a great number of funds for our school.
PTO elections are TUESDAY, APRIL 16TH at 6PM in the school cafeteria. Getting involved also means having great leadership. To ensure that we maintain strong leadership, and that your voice is heard, please make an effort to attend Tuesday’s elections. Thank you for everything you do for our students and faculty at SJS. St. Joseph, pray for us.
