Dear St. Joseph Families,
We have arrived at Holy Week. So how has your Lent gone so far? We all made certain commitments to practice certain disciplines in an effort to grow in personal sanctity- I hope. I also hope that the disciplines have proven to be fruitful. The journey is not over. Rather, the experience of journeying to the Paschal Mystery intensifies during Holy Week. This is the time when certain moments are highlighted in God’s plan for our salvation. Let us draw to mind a few important activities taking place this week. Perhaps you will join us in celebrating these sacred moments and finish Lent on a strong note. First, members of our choir will be singing at the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral on Tuesday. Wednesday (Spy Wednesday) will be a school Mass. We invite you to join us at 8:15 AM. On the morning of Holy Thursday, we invite you to join us in the church as our 8th Grade class provides for us 2 beautiful performances of the Living Stations. Finally, our parish is welcoming 60, yes, 60 new members into the Church at the Easter Vigil. Please take a look at the Holy Week schedule below to find out when all commemorations and celebrations will be. Don’t forget your canned goods and the Annual Fund! St. Joseph, pray for us.
